Memory Box | Moving Through Math
Students pretend to find and open an imaginary box. Students then think, verbalize, and place their memories inside the box to share their learning. After all students have shared, the box is folded up and hidden. This recall and verbalization strategy can be used after a Moving Through Math lesson or after a Teaching the Music of Language lesson. It’s a great strategy for the teacher to hear, in their own words, what is important or memorable to our children.
